Narrative:
A CASA/Nurtanio NC-212-A4 Aviocar 100 plane, registered PK-ZAI, was damaged beyond repair in an accident at Bintan Island, Indonesia. All five crew members were killed.
One of the airplane's engines had been replaced at Batam Airport (BTH). It departed at 13:19 with a flight crew of two and three technicians on board. The flight climbed to the en route cruising altitude of 4000 feet, heading for Tanjung Pinang-Kidjang Airport (TNJ). At 13:41 the crew contacted Tanjung Pinang Approach. This was the last radio contact with the flight.The airplane crashed at the 010 radial of the TPG VOR at a distance of about 15 NM from the VOR.
A CASA Aviocar operated by Sabang Merauke Raya Air Charter crashed on Bintan Island killing all five crew members on board. The airplane was on a test flight following the change of one of the engines.
